I was raised with Picasso
It took me some time to understand what Picasso meant with his anamorphic figures. In retrospect, when it comes to "Femme assise sur la plage" Picasso perhaps taught me at least two things:
- It is admissible to depict the world with one's most grotesque viewpoint, despite it may be destabilizing.
- It is one's duty to continually question the statu quo in one's life, however awry the output maybe.
